Kleinarl via ferrata routes
Unforgettable adventures! High above Kleinarl on the Palfensteinpalfen and nestling in a wonderful mountain setting there is a superb Geländesteig path and three via ferratas.
Tatzlwurm family via ferrata route: This is the easiest via ferrata (category A/B) and is primarily one ascending crossing. Nonetheless you should use self-belaying equipment.
Kesselfall via ferrata: This is a fun via ferrata route (category B/C) through the Kesselfall Gorge. The waterfalls of the Kesselbach are accessible via two rope bridges, and you get very close to the water and, depending on the water level, you may even get wet. Tip: If you hire a rope pulley beforehand, then you can glide along the via ferrata, heading back into the valley, on five Flying Fox slides. A lovely adventure on a hot summer day!
Peilsteinpalfen via ferrata Kleinarl: Above Kleinarl several via ferrata routes have been set into the rock faces, allowing you to combine several circuits and create an extensive tour. The Peilsteinpalfen via ferrata (category D) is a vertical to slightly overhanging rock face. The face is wet and slippery in sections and there is a gorge to negotiate via a short rope bridge. There is also the option to exit the route before things get tough.
Important information: On all routes it is hugely important to ensure that you are fit enough for the respective route and that appropriate via ferrata equipment is used.
